Friends of Sheba Medical Center (FSMC) is a nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles, California. Sheba Medical Center at Tel HaShomer is the largest hospital in Israel and the entire Middle East. FSMC is dedicated to raising awareness and philanthropic support for Sheba Medical Center’s compassionate clinical care, cutting edge research and comprehensive educational training.

-Why are you passionate about Sheba?

"I am passionate about The Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer because Sheba is passionate about its patients. Sheba's management and staff provide a unique continuum of comprehensive care to all they serve. Sheba is a research and education powerhouse - always looking ahead for the next best treatments, therapies and solutions to treating their patients."

-What made you get involved with the Friends of Sheba Medical Center

"I was invited to the 2017 WOA Luncheon by Nina Lieberman Executive Director of Friends of Sheba Medical Center Tel HaShomer. It was love at first sight!"

-What other nonprofits are you passionate about and why?

"I volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles where I mentor a 10th grade girl. Her name is Laila and she is from Inglewood,CA. Laila is such an inspiration to me and has become a very important part of my life."

-What do you do for a living and what is the best part about your job?

"I am the Associate Director of Development for Friends of Sheba Medical Center Tel HaShomer in Los Angeles. The best part of my job is supporting Israel and helping to tikkun olam - repair the world."

-Who is your hero and why?

"My youngest sister, Leah, is my hero. She was adopted at the age of 1. Before my family adopted her, she lived in 3 different homes. Leah lives her life with such grace and strength."
